“FYI , the Swiss sailors we met and exchanged burgees with this Spring, have made it to Greenland and across the Northwest Passage unscathed! They stopped for a day at Tuktoyaktuck, NT, and are presently making 10 knots just above the eastern Alaskan Border. Presumably making way toward Point Barrow. You may follow them on https://share.delorme.com/bonavalette, or a delayed posting on Facebook which has more pictures. If I hear more, I shall post it.”
Bona Valette has a Facebook page where they post occasionally. The posts are arranged by date for the most part. If you go there, scroll down to February 17 and also February 24, and you will see some of our involvement. Here is the link to their FB page.
As you know from the previous post, Dave Cloninger presented the Bonavalette crew with the TSC Burgee, which they are flying on their boat as they sail to Alaska. In return, Alex presented Dave with their Burgee, which Dave proudly flew on his boat during the first Fall Series race. Thanks Dave. This is what fun sailing is all about.
Alex, David & Michael are sailing the Bonavalette to Alaska. During their visit in Titusville, Dave Cloninger presented them with the TSC Burgee, which they are flying now during their journey. The Bonavalette has arrived in Savannah, GA and next they proceed to Greenland and across the Northwest Passage to Alaska. Thanks Dave, this is super cool. Below are a few pictures, and notice the TSC Burgee.
The registration form for the Fall/Spring series is up on the events page.
